Piero Bittolo Bon

Piero Bittolo Bon is one of the most active and sought after saxophone players in the jazz and improvised music in Italy and Europe. 

He's currently leading his Bread & Fox quintet and, with piano player Alfonso Santimone, co-directing TJCO, Jazz Club Ferrara's resident orchestra, and exploring hidden possibilities of the alto saxophone with his SPELUNKER solo set. He's member of Maurice Louca's Elephantine Band and of Istantanea collective. Other current projects are reed trio Crisco 3 with Francesco Bigoni and Beppe Scardino and Rex Kramer with Stefano Dallaporta and Andrea Grillini. Former collaborations include El Gallo Rojo collective, Beppe Scardino's Orange Room, Francesco Bigoni and Mark Solborg's On Dog, Domenico Caliri's Camera Lirica, Silvia Bolognesi's Open Combo and countless other bands in the italian and european scene.

He teaches saxophone performance, ensemble and improvisation in Livorno, Vicenza and Genova conservatories and he's a Rampone & Cazzani saxophone artist.
