Anna Koelle

Being trained as a visual artist in the field of sculpture, I now work with different artistic means such as drawing, music, installation and others.
I rediscovered my violinplaying at the end of my twenties and with it the field of free improvised music. In 2016 and 2017 I participated at the FreeFlowFest in Italy which is organized since many years by Carlo Mascolo. Together with the Kerlox 4ett we developed performences in Germany and Italy, including analogue shadowprojections based on my drawings. I'm interested in the interconnection of different fields and in developing my musicianship in different directions. Be it experimental songwriting, tonal improvisation, free improvisation or as it is also called "realtime improv" or the combination of different, techniques, ideas and impulses.
