Yoram ROSILIO

Yoram Rosilio (b. 1980 - France) is a multi-Instrumentalist, composer, leader, producer and organiser active in the fields of jazz, experimental, contemporary and improvised musics. He plays doublebass and also perform with electronic or traditional instruments (oud, gumbri, lotar, buzuki, percussions…). 

    Since many years, he stands as a leader for the post-free-bop-sefaradik group Tikkun and the International unclassified Orchestra Anti RubBer brAiN fAct0ry (with influences from Moroccan, Mexican, Italian, Grec, Jewish Musics, Free Jazz, contemporary musics...). 

    His work frequently engages in interdisciplinary collaborations with dance, performance, visual arts, or theatre.His artistic research draws on traditions, symbolism, history, ethnology, rituals, altered states of consciousness, and cosmology, as well as scientific fields such as physics, biology, and sociology.

    He has founded & co-founded and coordinated several artistic community initiatives, including : 
Le Fondeur de Son, Parisian Music collective 
the S.H.A.R.E. Project, European network for creative musics and improvised arts
LFDS Records, label for creative musics. 
Improvisers Without Borders, free exchange and networking platform that brings together more than 750 artists from from all over Europe.
the SPIME Festival, (2017-2022) an annual hybrid event combining artistic experimentations, collective learnings, international Networking…

    Since 2022, he is a member of the Semmelweis Klinik Center (a Vienna self organized multi-disciplinary artistic community who rehabilitated a former hospital into an experimental cultural center) and The Bridge (a transatlantic network linking Paris and Chicago ad gathering the most promising improvised music artists from the both scenes).

    He has performed on more than twenty albums released on various labels. He has played in a hundred of festival in Morocco, USA, Mexico, Haïti and all over Europa.
