Mette Hommel

Mette Hommel is a performer, flutist and improviser. Her works include cross aesthetic projects, concert installations, contemporary classical music and free improvisation. She moves between genres and works with the flute and her voice both acoustically and with electronic enhancements. Mette Hommel has a bachelor in classical flute from the Royal Academy of Music Aarhus and studied Contemporary Improvisation with Anto Pett and Anne-Liis Poll in Tallinn. She is working with different bands and ensembles as a freelance musician. Furthermore, she is active in the improvisation collective KALAS and in the groups LØMMEL, Johannes Smed, Kolibri and H Y S T A D E.
