Alex Huber

Alex Huber is a Swiss drummer, composer and improviser.
He gives solo concerts, works with various duos such as with the Irish singer Lauren Kinsella or the saxophonist Urs Leimgruber or the Quartet The Workers with Omri Ziegele, Urs Leimgruber and Christian Weber and is band leader of the Chimaira quartet with saxophonists Philipp Gropper, pianist John Schröder and bassists Oliver Potratz.
As Sideman, he works with the collective KPSH, Kaiserbuck, Happy End, Kinsella/Henkel/Huber and others and, among other things, worked with Tristan Honsinger, Hans Hassler, Achim Kaufmann, Tobias Delius, Colin Vallon and others.
He is a co -founder of the Swiss Label Wide Ear Records, a platform for young Swiss and European musicians who have come together to document and publish their music.
Last but not least, he is a committed instrument teacher with years of experience working with children, ensembles and adults.
